First State Bank was chartered in Joplin, Missouri in 1925 at our current location of 802 Main Street. At that time, all of the banks in town were hometown or locally owned banks. First State Bank is the only remaining bank that is hometown and locally owned. Many banks have come and gone over the years and First State Bank is extremely proud to have passed the test of time and remains strong and independent.

Joplin is Missouri's 4th largest metropolitan area and we are extremely proud to have played a major role in the development of Joplin over the years.
